Brick Lane

The neighbourhood in the East End of London

Brick Lane is a small but diverse neighbourhood in the East End of London. The area has come to be known as "Banglatown" in recent years on account of many of its inhabitants' and proprietors' originating from Bangladesh, you can see evidence of this on the bilingual road signs. The neighbourhood - now complete with its own annual festival is now most famous for its curry restaurants, markets, speciality shops and vibrant but relaxed nightlife.

Shoreditch

Definition of trendy

Shoreditch is located in the east of London on the outskirts of the city and not far from Liverpool mainline station. Shoreditch once boasted many factories and the area was known for the manufacturing of clothes. These industries have now died out and for a number of years. More recently, the area has undergone extensive regeneration and Shoreditch is now a trendy area with luxury apartments and a sought after residential area particularly for those employed in the nearby City.

Spitalfields

Revitalised for a vibrant growing community

Situated in the City, just east of Liverpool Street train station, the Great Eastern Hotel and south of hip Hoxton, Spitalfields, E1 has been a sourceof keen interest and passionate debate over the last decade. Today, a multifarious network of traditional traders and cutting edge creatives, market stallholders and burgeoning fashion boutiques, immigrant communities, city workers and the original East Ender make up a significant part of this 250-acre area.

At the heart of Spitalfields, where the renowned Spitalfields’ markets are located, is a 13 acre site that has been undergoing extensive rejuvenation since 1991.

West End
